DHAKA: Law enforcement agencies detained 95 people including 16 activists of BNP and its major ally Jamaat-e-Islami from different places of four districts across the country.
They were held from Chitagong, Jessore, Joypurhat and Rajshahi districts during 24-hour drives till Tuesday morning.

Police held 80 people, including four activists of BNP and Jamaat each, in Jessore, eight BNP-Jamaat men in Chitagong and a teacher and five students of a madrasa in Joypurhat.
Jessore Police Control Room sources, Chittagong additional superintendent of police Muhammad Naimul Hasan and Joypurhat Sadar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Anwar Hossain separately confirmed the matters to banglanews.
Meanwhile, police detained a woman with two pistols, four magazines, and 57 rounds of bullets inside Dhaka-bound ‘Dhumketu Express’ train from Rajshahi on Monday night.
