GAIBANDHA: Police, in ongoing special drives, arrested 23 people, including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, from different places of the district.

The drives were conducted in seven upazilas between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Gaibandha additional police super Faruk Hossain informed the matter to banglanews.

He said the arrestees are accused in different sabotage cases. Of them, two were activists of Jamaat-e-Islami.

After primary interrogation, they would be sent to Gaibandha court later on the day, he added.
