DHAKA: A court in Dhaka on Wednesday sent BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas to jail upon surrender in two cases filed with Motijheel and Paltan thanas.

Metropolitan Magistrate M Mahbubur Rahman passed the order rejecting the bail petition of Mirza Abbas.
 
Earlier in the day, the BNP leader surrendered before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in the two cases.
