DHAKA: Islami Andolon Bangladesh called a rally Friday (April 21) at North gate of Baitul Mukarram mosque, demanding removal of Greek goddess Themis’s idol in front of Supreme Court premise.

Islami Andolon Bangladesh chief, known as Charmonai Pir, Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has called the rally.

However, earlier, religion-based bodies including Hefazat-e-Islam, Olama League and Khelafat Majlish Bangladesh also termed the Greek idol 'anti-Islamic' and pressed the government to remove it from Supreme Court premise.
