KHULNA: Police detained a leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of the ruling party, and recovered some yaba pills from his possession in the town Wednesday (April 3).

Rakibul Islam, organizational secretary of BCL’s Khalishpur thana unit, was held from Khalishpur residential area around 11 pm. 

Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) detective branch sub-inspector (SI) Shahjahan told Banglanews that acting on tip-off, police detained Rakibul and recovered 5 yaba pills from his possession.

Khalishpur thana unit BCL President Rashedul Islam confirmed that Rakibul is the organizational secretary of the unit.
