PATUAKHALI: At least 30 people were injured in a factional clash between two groups of Chhatra Dal at Kolapara Upazila of the district on Wednesday.

Sources said that supporters of Badal and Selim groups locked into a clash during a meeting at Patukhali Dr Athar Uddin auditorium at around 10:00am, leaving 30 from both sides injured.  

However, both groups blamed each others for the clash.

Later, on information police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Monirul Islam said, “A factional dispute triggered the clash and the situation is under controlled now.”

District Chhatra Dal general secretary Mashiur Rahman Milan told banglanews, “As Chhatra Dal is a large organization, so internal dispute isn’t a serious matter.”
