RANGPUR: Activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir cut tendons of two legs of a Chhatra League leader of Carmichael College on Wednesday.

The victim is Mosharraf Hossain, organizing secretary of Carmichael College Chhatra League.

Sources said some Chhatra Shibir activists cut Mosharraf’s legs tendons in Collegepara area around 2:45pm over supremacy in the area.

He was rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

District Detective Branch Senior Official Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

A tense situation is prevailing in Collagepara area after the incident.
