DHAKA: Dhaka city mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka has been taken to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of United Hospital in the city Sunday night, after he fell sick in a BNP rally in the afternoon.

He was admitted on Sunday evening at around 6 PM.

“Doctors are waiting for some tests-results which would be available within Monday noon,” said Monirul Islam, assistant personal secretary (APS) of the mayor.

“Doctors told Khoka’s condition is unchanged,” APS Monir said at 2 am Monday.

Khoka, the city father and BNP vice chairman, felt some pain in his chest while leading a procession in the city’s Mouchak area Sunday afternoon. He was rushed to the United Hospital in Gulshan.
