Novak Djokovic advanced to the quarter-finals of the Miami Open with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 victory over Lorenzo Musetti.
The match was initially delayed due to rain, and Djokovic, ranked fifth in the world, started slow, conceding a break in the opening game as Musetti took a 2-0 lead.
However, the Serbian quickly regained control, rattling off nine consecutive games to seize the first set 6-2 and establish a 3-0 lead in the second.
Musetti, ranked 16th, struggled to make an impact, winning just two games as Djokovic powered through to set up a quarter-final clash with American Sebastian Korda.
Earlier in the day, Korda booked his spot with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 win over Gael Monfils. Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo also progressed, defeating Norway's Casper Ruud 6-4, 6-2.
In the women's draw, sixth-seeded Italian Jasmine Paolini triumphed 6-3, 6-2 over Poland’s Magda Linette, setting up a semi-final meeting with either world number one Aryna Sabalenka or China’s Zheng Qinwen, who were due to play later Tuesday.
