Bashundhara Special Children Foundation, a humanitarian initiative of the country’s largest business conglomerate, Bashundhara Group, organized an inspirational event titled ‘Eso Mili Sobe Praner Utsabe’ for children with neurodevelopmental challenges.
The program took place on Saturday afternoon at the Bashundhara Public School and College playground in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area.
Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, Vice-Chairman Safwan Sobhan, Director and Foundation Chairman Yeasha Sobhan, Rangpur Riders owner Shehzad Akbar Sobhan were present on the occasion.
Also, Bashundhara City Development Ltd and Foundation’s In Charge Major Mohsinul Karim (retd.), Foundation’s Principal Shayla Sharmin, the children with neurodevelopment challenge, their parents, teachers, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) franchise Rangpur Riders players and coaching staff and other distinguished personalities were also present there.
The day’s programme started through recitation from Al-Quran. Then, the special children sang the national anthem.
A heart-touching audio-visual presentation was also displayed to highlight the Foundation’s journey and activities for the development of the special children.
Bashundhara Group arranged the program to inspire the special children to move forward.
Bashundhara Group Director and Foundation Chairman Yeasha Sobhan expressed her dream and goal to continue the social activities for the welfare of special children for lifetime in her speech.
Bashundhara City Development Ltd and Foundation’s In Charge Major Mohsinul Karim (retd.), Foundation’s Principal Shayla Sharmin spoke on the occasion.
The parents of the special children also shared experiences and feelings there.
Later, dedicated persons associated with the Foundation were also given awards in the programme.
The students of the Foundation performed dance and drama and sang songs to reveal their creativity in the cultural segment of the programme.
The programme ended with cutting a cake and a special session with Rangpur Riders players and coaching staff.
The Foundation started its journey on 1 March 2017 in Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital as a charity organisation.
The special children from poor families receive normal life education, academic and technical education along with physical fitness, studies and vocational training.
A portion of the profit from every box of Bashundhara tissue is spent on the cause of autistic children and school.
