Hasina blames Khaleda for uncontested polls

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday categorically said Khaleda Zia is suffering from “frustration” as Awami League is well organized and determined to participate in the 10th parliamentary polls.

The premier made the assertion while addressing a discussion in city’s Khamarbari Krishibid Institute in the afternoon.

She said, “Khaleda Zia is feeling frustration as AL already ensured 154 seats in the next general polls without any contest.”

Hasina added: “Though I hoped that the opposition leader will join the polls and urged to hold dialogue in a bid to melt down the so called gridlock by opposition over caretaker issue, but she denied.”

The prime minister also called upon the opposition leader for talks again to resolve the prevailing political crisis.
