The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that a mild to moderate heat wave is currently affecting various parts of the country, including Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions, along with several districts such as Rangpur, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, and Chattogram.
The heat wave, which may persist for the next 120 hours, is accompanied by mainly dry weather and partly cloudy skies.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise by 1–2°C, with a slight increase in night temperatures as well.
On Thursday, the highest temperature was recorded at 39.7°C in Chuadanga, while the lowest today was 22.5°C in Dimla.
In Dhaka, sunset is at 6:31pm and sunrise tomorrow will be at 5:19am.
