3 killed in Thakurgaon polls violence

THAKURGAON: Three activists of opposition BNP were killed in two separate clashes with law enforcers and Awami League in Basudebpur Primary School and Gopalpur village under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Harun, 20, Abu Hanif and Joynal, 21.

Sources said Harun and Joynal were killed as BNP supporters locked into clash with the law enforcers at Basudebpur Primary School premises at 2.15pm.

On the other hand, Abu Hanif was killed in Gopalpur village as local Awami League and BNP locked into fierce clash over election in the afternoon.

Sadar Thana officer-in-charge Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
