A fire broke out at a tannery warehouse in the Hazaribagh market area of the capital on Friday afternoon.
The Fire Service received the report of the fire at 2:23 pm, and six firefighting units were dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control.
Lima Khanam, duty officer at the Fire Service control room, confirmed the matter and said the fire started on the fourth floor of a four-story building housing the warehouse.
An additional four firefighting units are on their way to assist. The cause of the fire and any reports of casualties are yet to be determined, according to preliminary information.
