DHAKA: A two and half year old girl drowned in a bucket in Meradia area under Khilgaon Thana of the city on Sunday noon.

The deceased was identified as Nusrat, daughter of Zakir Hossain.

Confirming the matter, child’s mother Moushumi Begum told banglanews she was cooking at the kitchen.

At a stage, she looked for her daughter and found her floating in a bucket full of water.

They rushed Nusrat to a local hospital and the doctors shifted her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the duty doctor declared her dead, reports banglanews correspondent.
