NOAKHALI: Two suspected robbers were beaten to death by angry mob in Hilton road area of Sonadia Union under Hatiya Upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Sab Patra, 50, son of late Serazul Haque and Mahmudul Haque Madu, 48, son of Osman Ali.

Sources said that sensing the presence of dacoit, locals chased and caught two of them at around 5:00am and later, the mob gave them good beating, leaving two suspected dacoits dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.

Hatia Thana Officer-in-Charge Syed Fazle Rabbi confirmed the matter to banglanews.
