Dhaka: The body of a woman garment worker was found in the city’s Mushair area under Dakshin Khan thana Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nilufa, 26, a worker of Dazzling Dresses Garment at Mushair and a mother of a two-year daughter.

Dakshin Khan thana SI Abu Bakr said the body was found on the road behind the factory at about 8am.

“Both of her legs and hands were tied with a rope and there was a scarf around her neck,” he said.

Nilufa’s neighbours said a garment worker Sathi called Nilufa out of her house at about 8pm on Saturday and her body was found Sunday morning.

Nilufa’s father Tajul Islam said Nilufa, some days ago, complained to him about a conflict with her husband.

Police, however, arrested Nilufa’s husband Siblu, 37, and another garment worker Sathi, 22, in this connection.
