Police have arrested Dablu Bepari, the owner of the bus involved in the fatal crash at Dhaleshwari Toll Plaza on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway. 

The Highway Police arrested him on Saturday night in Shibchar, Madaripur.

Highway Police Additional DIG Dr AKM Akhtaruzzaman Bosunia confirmed the matter. 

The incident, which occurred on Friday (Dec 27) morning, resulted in the deaths of six people after the bus collided with a private car and motorcycle.

Earlier on Saturday, Nurul Amin, brother of deceased Amena Begum, filed a case with Dakshin Keraniganj police station, naming the bus owner as one of the accused.

On Friday night, the bus driver Nurunnabi and another individual were also arrested in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, by RAB and Highway Police.

The collision resulted in the deaths of six people, with the family of four being among the victims. 

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
