BANDARBAN: Two people were killed as a herd of angry elephants attacked them in Bhaggokul area of Sualok union of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Deloyara Begum, 45, and Sajib, 7.

Locals said that a herd of wild elephants attacked the area and the elephants trampled and smashed them, leaving them dead on the spot.

Later, locals recovered the bodies and informed police.

Bandarban Sadar Thana Sub-Inspector Sumon Saha confirmed the matter to banglanews.
