MOULAVIBAZAR: The monthly allowance for freedom fighters (FF) has increased to Tk 5,000 which was previously Tk 2,000.

Liberation war affairs AKM A. K.M. Mozammel Huq came up with the declaration while addressing a rally arranged by Muktijuddher Chetona Bastobayon Mancha and Road Transport workers Union in the district on Saturday night.

The minister said that the freedom fighters will get Tk 5,000 allowance which comes into effect from January.

MuktiJuddho Chetona Bastobayon Mancha Committee General Secretary freedom Fighter Abdul Malek, Bangladesh Road Transport Federation Central General Secretary Osman Ali, Major General (retd) Wakar Hasan Bir Protik, Freedom Fighter Nazmul Hasan Pakhi and others delivered their speech in the program.
