Monowara Begum, mother of Abaduzzaman Shimul, senior correspondent at the online news portal Banglanews24.com, passed away at the age of 77. 

According to family sources, Monowara Begum’s health had deteriorated due to old age. 

Earlier today (Jan 18), she was taken from her house in Mogbazar, Dhaka, to Monowara Hospital in Siddheshwari, where doctors declared her dead around 2:30 pm.

Her namaz-e janaza will be held at Mogbazar Chaurasta intersection after the Esha prayer, followed by her burial at Azimpur Cemetery.

The entire Banglanews family is deeply saddened by her passing. 

Banglanews Editor Lutfor Rahman Himel expressed profound shock and sorrow at her death. He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
