KISHOREGANJ: A Kishoreganj court on Sunday placed Abu Bakar Siddique, a fourth-class employee of Sonali Bank of Nikli Upazila Branch, on a three-day remand in a case of looting the bank.

Senior Judicial Magistrate M Hamidul Islam passed the remand order after police produced him before the court seeking a seven-day remand.

On January 26, in a daring bank robbery, burglars tunneled into the vault of Sonali Bank’s main branch in Kishoreganj town and looted Tk 16.40 crore.
