DHAKA: Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al Sabah and Speaker of the National Assembly of Kuwait Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her assumption of the office of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

In the message the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait renewed the commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between Bangladesh and Kuwait.

He also wished to further expand and consolidate the relations for the realization of the interests of the two friendly peoples, said a press release of foreign ministry on Thursday.

Besides, Speaker of Kuwait said that an affirmation and recognition of the leadership of the Prime Minister on local and international levels which helped at the current sensitive stage to spread the spirit of new leadership based on traditions of democracy and reform to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the people of Bangladesh and to strengthen the brotherly relations with all countries.

The Speaker also expressed satisfaction over the deep and strong brotherly relations existing between the Bangladesh and Kuwait.
