More than 200 accused in the Pilkhana carnage explosives case have been granted bail.
The decision came on Sunday (January 19) after a hearing conducted at a temporary court inside the Keraniganj Central Jail.
The order was issued by Judge Md. Ibrahim Mia of Dhaka's Special Tribunal-1.
Prosecutor Sarkar Nure Ershad Siddique confirmed the matter, saying that the court granted bail to those acquitted in the murder case and to individuals not named by witnesses in the explosives case.
"It is estimated that the number of those granted bail exceeds 200," the prosecutor added.
