Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Dr. M Mokhlesur Rahman, today (Dec 15) announced that all government officials, employees, and pensioners would receive the benefit of the Dearness Allowance (DA).

"From peons to senior officers, everyone will benefit, ensuring additional financial support alongside their basic salaries," he said during a press conference at the Secretariat.

On December 12, the government formed a seven-member committee, led by the principal secretary to the chief adviser of the interim government, to assess the feasibility of providing DA under the National Pay Scale-2015.

Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman, a member of the committee, also said that it would review eligibility and provide recommendations. 

The committee may also include additional officials, if necessary, as per its resolution, he added.
