Moulana Muhammad Nizam Uddin Farooqui, the father of Muhammad Yuvair, senior newsroom editor of the online news portal Banglanews24.com, has passed away early Monday (December 16). 

He was 66.

Moulana Farooqui breathed his last around 3:30 am. 

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, two sons, and numerous admirers.

Moulana Farooqui, a resident of the Jamirtali area in Mandari Union of Lakshmipur district, was a prominent Islamic educationist. He served as the founding vice principal and later the principal of Enayetpur Wazedia Senior Fazil Madrasa in Enayetpur Union of Mahadevpur Upazila, Naogaon. Over his 40-year career, he dedicated himself to the promotion of Islamic education.

Besides, he played a vital role in the establishment of two madrasas and two mosques in Mahadevpur Upazila.

After retiring from his professional career, he moved to Mirpur in the capital, where he resided with his wife and children. 

Banglanews Editor Lutfor Rahman Himel expressed profound sorrow at the death of Moulana Farooqui. He offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
