Two persons were killed after a pickup van hit their motorcycle in Madhupur of Tangail early Wednesday (Dec 18).

The accident occurred on the Tangail-Mymensingh regional highway, near the Borabaid Orphanage in the Madhupur hilly forest area.

The victims were identified as Hafez Habibur Rahman, 20, the imam of the Borobaid Orphanage mosque and a resident of Sherpur, and Hafez Hasan Shiraji, 18, the muezzin of the same mosque who hailed from Nagarpur in Tangail.

Md. Kabil Uddin, President of the Borobaid Union BNP in Madhupur Upazila confirmed the matter.
