President Md. Shahabuddin expressed deep sorrow over the death of AF Hasan Arif, Adviser to the Ministries of Civil Aviation, Tourism, and Land.

In a condolence message, the President said his death is an irreparable loss to the nation. He prayed for the departed soul’s eternal peace and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.

Hasan Arif suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to Lab Aid Hospital on Friday (Dec 20) at 3:00 pm. Doctors declared him dead at 3:35 pm.

On August 5, after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, Hasan Arif was sworn in as an adviser to the caretaker government, initially overseeing the Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives Ministry. He was later given responsibility for the Civil Aviation, Tourism, and Land Ministries.
