Three teenage friends were killed in a road accident in Kashiani upazila, Gopalganj, early Friday morning. 

The victims, Dipu Das (18), Vishal Nag (19), and Hridoy Mridha (18), were riding a motorcycle to enjoy date palm juice. 

The tragedy occurred around 6am in the Hirannya Kandi area of Maheshpur union on the Dhaka-Khulna highway.

Bhanga highway police OC Md Rakibuzzaman stated that heavy fog likely caused an unidentified vehicle to run over the victims. 

Locals alerted the police after spotting the bodies and the damaged motorcycle. Authorities are investigating and attempting to identify the responsible vehicle.
