The government has decided to disburse the salaries of all employees working in government, semi-government, and autonomous institutions on March 23 ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

A notification issued by the Treasury Management Department of the Finance Ministry on Sunday (March 9) confirmed the matter.

Signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Abdul Gafur, the notification stated that according to the government calendar for 2025, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be observed on March 31, depending on the sighting of the moon.

As a result, the government has decided to pay the March 2025 salaries and allowances of all gazetted and non-gazetted employees in these institutions, as well as the salaries of commissioned and non-commissioned officers of the armed forces, on March 23. Additionally, retired pensioners will receive their pensions for March 2025 on the same date.
