Professor Dr. M Aminul Islam, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser and in charge of the Education Ministry, has resigned from his post.
He confirmed the matter to journalists on Monday (March 10) at the Education Ministry corridor in the Secretariat.
“I do not want to say anything about this. I have sent my resignation letter through my personal secretary,” he said.
When asked whether he resigned voluntarily or under government pressure, Aminul Islam declined to comment. He also remained silent when asked if he was taking on a bigger role after his resignation.
However, he stated that even after resigning, he would remain connected to the education sector in some capacity.
