The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thundershowers accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty winds in various parts of the country over the next 120 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to the latest bulletin, scattered showers are expected in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, while isolated rainfall may occur in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, with hailstorms possible in some areas.
Daytime temperatures may rise slightly, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain steady.
Meanwhile, a mild to moderate heat wave continues to sweep across Khulna division and several districts, including Rajshahi, Natore, Pabna, Sirajganj, Dhaka, Tangail, Narayanganj, Manikganj, Rajbari, Faridpur, Gopalganj, and Patuakhali.
The highest temperature recorded on Tuesday was 38.7 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, Khulna division, while the lowest temperature today was 21.6 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
The sun will set at 6:33 pm today in Dhaka and rise at 5:17 am tomorrow.
Authorities have advised residents in affected areas to remain cautious, particularly due to lightning and strong winds, as unstable weather conditions persist.
