A Dhaka court today ordered the freezing of 13 bank accounts belonging to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s former defence and security adviser Tarique Ahmed Siddique, his wife Shaheen Siddique, and daughter Nurin Siddique.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order following a petition by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ACC filed four cases in January against 19 people, including Siddique, over the embezzlement of Tk 812 crore from airport development projects.
