NARSHINGDI: Three people were killed and four others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Narayanpur area of Raipura upazila of the district on Saturday.

Of the deceased, two were identified as Sagir Mia, 28, Kabita, 17.

Sources said a Dhaka-bound private car collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw around 3:30pm in the area, leaving the two people dead on the spot and five others injured.

Later, another one died on way of hospital. The injured were sent to Bhairab Hospital of Kishoreganj district.

Officer-in-Charge of Raipura Thana Mamunur Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
