DHAKA: Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim on Saturday called upon media to cover more health news.

The health minister came up with the plea while addressing the inaugural program of vitamin ‘A’ Plus campaign at the Institute of Public Health at Mohakhali in the city.

Nasim said the cordial efforts have made Bangladesh polio free. “Now, the government is working to make the vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign a success,” he said.

The minister further said Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina is very conscious about children and she put importance on health sector.

The minister requested media to cover more health news so that mothers can get information about vaccination and other health related campaigns.

State minister for health and family welfare Zahid Maleque was present as special guest at the program, chaired by health secretary MM Niazuddin.
