DHAKA: Two young men were chopped to death by unidentified assailants in capital’s Mirpur area early Monday.

The deceased were identified as Jahangir, 29 and Kaium, 31.

Wishing anonymity a man in the area told banglanews, “Some 20/25 youths came there around 11:00pm and locked into clash. Later, we heard that two people were killed in the area.”

Confirming the matter, Mirpur Model Thana Sub-Inspector Anwar Hossain told banglanews, “On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. The bodies, bore several injury marks, were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.”

Meanwhile law enforcers seized two mobile phone sets and two motorbikes from the spots.
