DHAKA: The customs officials detained four people with 20 kilograms of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Monday night.

The detainees are- Shahnaj Hossain, Anjila Hossain, Ajad Nabil, and Nabil Ibn Iqbal.

Customs sources said they landed at the airport by a Singapore flight at 9:30pm; officials searched them as their movement seemed suspicious and recovered the gold.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Customs intelligence director general Moinul Islam said, “The detainees brought the gold from Singapore.”
