MUNSHIGANJ: Two persons were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Mawa highway at Sreenagar upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police sources said that a rashly driven goods-laden truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 8:30am, leaving two passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot and three others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to local clinics.

Officer-in-Charge of Sreenagar Thana Mahbub Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
