DHAKA: In a bid to woo tourists, Bangladesh will arrange photo exhibition in different countries from next year, Tourism Minister said.

“We will collaborate with the Foreign Ministry and arrange photo exhibition from 2011 in different counties to attract tourists,” Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister GM Quader said.

Quader was addressing the inauguration ceremony of a two-day long photo exhibition at Hotel Abakash.

Bangladesh Parjatan Coporation (BPC) organised the show to display 149 photographs.  

Government has announced 2011 as ‘Tourism Year’ with the World Cup Cricket tournament to be held in Dhaka and Chittagong, the Minister said.    

The ministry has formulated new laws and guidelines on tourism, the Minister added.

BPC Chairman M Hemayet Uddin Talukder also spoke.
