A seven-member BNP delegation has begun a meeting with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the state guesthouse Jamuna, seeking a definitive roadmap for the upcoming national election.
Led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, six senior party leaders arrived at the venue at 12:04pm today.
The delegation includes Standing Committee members Salahuddin Ahmed, Mirza Abbas, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Nazrul Islam Khan, and Jamir Uddin Sircar.
At 12:18pm, Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury joined the ongoing discussions.
Sayrul Kabir Khan from the BNP Media Cell confirmed the matter.
According to party sources, BNP plans to submit a written statement to the chief adviser, calling for an official declaration of the election roadmap. They warned that if no timeline is provided, the party will initiate nationwide street protests.
This move follows a BNP Standing Committee meeting held the previous night, insiders revealed.
