DHAKA: The High Court on Wednesday granted four months anticipatory bail to 51 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student front Islami Chhatra Shibir of Satkhira.
A division bench comprising of HC Justice Afzal Hossain Ahmed and Justice Abdul Hafiz passed the order.
Satkhira Sadar thana police had filed a case on July15 accusing Jamaat Ameer Abdul Khalek and 50 others of anti-government activities.
The court asked the government to reply why they would not be granted a permanent bail.
Those leaders and activists pleaded for anticipatory bail.
