DHAKA: The next deposition of plaintiff Harun-or-Rashid, deputy director of Anti Corruption Commission, of Zia Orphanage Trust case will be held on April 28.

The third Special Judge Abu Ahmed Jamader of Bakshibazar makeshift court in city on Thursday passed the order after partial cross examination of the ACC officer by BNP chairperson Khalada Zia’s lawyer Advocate Abdur Rezzak Khan.

Apart from BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, the other accused of the case are her eldest son and also BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman, former BNP lawmaker Kazi Saleemul Haque, businessperson Sharfuddin Ahmed, Khaleda’s former principal secretary Kamal Uddin Siddiqui and former president Ziaur Rahman’s nephew Momenur Rahman.

The ACC filed the graft case on July 3 in 2008 with Ramna Thana accusing Khaleda Zia and five others of misappropriating Tk over 2.10-crore, which came as grants from a foreign bank for orphans.
