DHAKA: The Awami League-led 14-party alliance will form a huge human-chain from Gabtali to Jatrabari in capital from 3 pm to 4 pm Sunday (June 19) in protest against recent secret killings, terrorism and anti-state conspiracies.

Leaders of the 14-pary alliance said the human-chain will stretch through Gabtali, Shyamali, Asad Gate, Dhanmondi Number-27 Road, Russell Square, Green Road, Basundhara Shopping Mall, Sonargaon Hotel, Shahbag, Matsya Bhaban, Press Club, Paltan Intersection, Nur Hossain Square, Bangabandhu Square, Gulistan Park, Ittefaq Crossing, Rajdhani Market, Syedabad and Jatrabari Intersection.

During the one-hour human-chain programme, central and city unit leaders of the 14-party alliance will assemble at various spots from Gabtali to Jatrabari.

In a statement on Saturday (June 18), 14-party alliance spokesman Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim urged the leaders and workers of the alliance and all the pro-liberation, democratic and secular forces, members of the civil society, intellectuals, professionals, cultural workers and a cross section of people to participate in the human-chain programme.
