GAIBANDHA: Police detained 52 people including 38 BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and activists from different areas in the district.
The drive was conducted from Thursday night (January 19) to Friday morning (January 20).
Police force detained two BNP and 36 Jamaat men from Sundarganj Thana while 14 other are facing arrest warrants in drug cases, said District Police Control Room (PCR) operator Tobir Rahman.
Sundarganj Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Atiar Rahman told Banglanews that the law enforcers detained Miskin Mukul, personal assistant of ex-MP Abdul Aziz alias Ghoramara Aziz’s who is accused for crimes against humanity, and Jamaat ameer of Ramjibon union.
They will be interrogated regarding MP Liton murder case.
