DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson khaleda Zia appeared before a city court to place her statement in Zia Orphanage graft case on Thursday (February 2).

Khaleda Zia reached the court of third special Judge Abu Ahmed Jomader in Bakshi Bazar area around 11:25pm.

The court earlier fixed the date on Monday (January 30) on the basis of Khaleda Zia’s application.

Including Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman, the other accused in the case are former BNP lawmaker Kazi Saleemul Haque kamal alias Econo Kamal, businessperson Sharfuddin Ahmed, Khaleda’s former principal secretary Dr. Kamal Uddin Siddiqui and ex-president Momenur Rahman.
