28 female activists of Jamaat detained in Dhaka

DHAKA: Law enforcers on Thursday (February 2) detained 28 female activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami while holding a clandestine meeting at a house at Tajmahal Road of Mohammadpur in Dhaka.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammadpur Zone assistant commissioner Md. Hafiz Al Faruq told Banglanews that acting on a tip-off they raided the house and detained their Jamaat activists.

Police also seized organizational documents from the scene, he added.
