3 Jamaat activists held in Naogaon

NAOGAON: Police detained three activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami from different areas in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district Tuesday (February 21).

Raninagar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman told Banglanews that acting on a tip-off police conducted several drives in the areas and detained the Jamaat men. 

He also said one of them, Motin, was held with two cocktails and two machetes during holding a secret meeting near his house in Paroil village.

On the other hand, police detained Belal from Shilgram area and Saidur from Bandaikhara area of the district, he added.
