NEW DELHI: Bangladesh has honored Indian martyrs, who sacrificed during Bangladesh War of Liberation in 1971.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is now currently visiting India, conferred the honors to the relatives of the Indian martyrs at a function at the Manekshaw centre in New Delhi cantonment on Saturday (April 08).
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present at the time.
The honored martyrs are-- Lance Naik Albert Ekka, Major Anup Singh Gahlout, Subadar Malkat Sing, Naik Sugon Singh, squadron leader AB Samanto and Lt Samir Das.
Bangladesh is honoring 1668 martyrs of India. Sheikh Hasina handed over honors to the relatives of the six martyrs. The rest martyrs will be honored gradually.
Sheikh Hasina recalled the Indian martyrs and the people of that country during Liberation War in 1971.
