KHULNA: Vice-chairman of Koyra Upazila Parishad in Khulna and BNP leader Sheikh Abdur Rashid has been arrested.
Police arrested him from his office at the Upazila Parishad on Wednesday noon (May 31).
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Koyra police station Enamul Haque told Banglanews that the upazila vice-chairman was sued in a case filed over a clash that took place in his village home at Moheshipur village on April 19.
Abdur Rashid’s cousin Sheikh Atiur Rahman filed the case where the vice-chairman was also made accused. He was arrested in the case, said the OC.
