JESSORE: Jessore district unit of the BNP on Tuesday (September 12) demanded judicial probe into the death of a party leader who died in Jessore Central Jail on Monday midnight (September 11).

Jessore district unit general secretary of the BNP Syed Saberul Haque Sabu made the demand at a press conference at Jessore Press Club.

Badirur Rahman Bodi, 45, vice president of Bagharpara municipality unit of the BNP, died in the jail without any treatment, alleged Saberul Haque Sabu.

Bodi was arrested on August 25. He fell sick in the jail on Monday and died on the way to hospital.

Jailer of Jessore Central Jail Abu Taleb said that Bodi died for illness.
